Smiles For San Lucas

A great big THANK YOU to all of our families and staff for supporting our ARCHS donation drive for Smiles for San Lucas lead by Dr. Trish Gardner. Smiles for San Lucas is a group of local volunteers (mostly Hunterdon County) dedicated to to dental health of the local communities of San Lucas Guatemala. This group travels to San Lucas Mission every year to perform extractions in the local communities that have no access to dental care. Dr Gardner and her team support the mission clinic, supplying dental supplies so clinic can see patient throughout the year. The clinic provides free care to over 2000 patients each year and runs solely on donations.
Dr Gardner started a topical Fluoride program in the rural communities of San Lucas,  in 2016 she performed 5570 applications of fluoride and provided toothbrushes to local children.
