Judy Serra - Head of School/ Kindergarten II Teacher

Judith Serra has been teaching for 30+ years. Judy Serra is a highly qualified and NJ certified teacher. She graduated from Cabrini College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education/ Elementary Education. She has been trained in Teaching Strategies Gold, Tools of the Mind and she is a member of the Monarch Teacher's Network.  She began her teaching career in Hillsborough Township Schools where she taught Kindergarten for 10 years. After that, she taught first grade at Whitehouse Elementary School for 3 years and then taught kindergarten for 7+ years at Whitehouse Preparatory School.  Judy Serra was a Turn-Key Trainer, Lead Teacher and curriculum writer for both school districts. Judy is also trained from the Gesell Institute as a developmental screener. She has been the Kindergarten Teacher here at Whitehouse Preparatory School since the school was established in 2009.  Judith Serra does teacher training and curriculum writing for the programs at Whitehouse Preparatory School. She also provides enrichment instruction in the Preschool I,II and Kindergarten I Classes here at Whitehouse Prep.  In addition she teaches a  Reading Enrichment Program here at Whitehouse Prep.  Whitehouse Prep is a fulfillment of her lifetime dream of creating a special school that will provide an excellent preschool foundation for a life time of learning.

Diana Hall - Preschool II Teacher

Diana Hall graduated from Shippensburg University with a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education.  Diana graduated magna cum laude from Shippensburg University.  Diana taught in Pennsylvania prior to teaching here at Whitehouse Prep.  She is our Preschool II teacher here at Whitehouse Prep and she has been teaching here for 4 years now.  Diana has been trained by Judith Serra in Math Their Way, Writing Workshop and the Whitehouse Prep curriculum.  She has also been trained in Teaching Strategies Gold and Tools of the Mind.  She is also a member of the Monarch Teacher's Network.  Diana has trained co-teachers and has also developed classroom assessments that have enhanced the program here at Whitehouse Prep.  Diana loves teaching three year olds and has the expertise to do so.  She has the knowledge of the growth and development of three and four year olds and she can take them where they are in skill development and then build their skills as far as she can in the year that she is teaching them.  She is a very warm and caring educator that is very dedicated to providing an exceptional educational program here at Whitehouse Prep.  The children leave her classroom with exceptional skills that prepare them for our Ki or Pre-K Class. 

 Stephanie Tamn-Preschool I Teacher

Stephanie Tamn is a graduate of Penn Foster College with a degree in Early Childhood Education. She has also been trained in the teaching curriculum of Teaching Strategies Gold and Tools of the Mind.  Stephanie has also been trained by Judith Serra in literacy and math lenhancemen programs here at tWhitehouse Prep.   She is a member of the Monarch Teacher's Network.  Stephanie has been a preschool teacher for 7 years and she has had experience in teaching children from toddlers through Pre-K.  Her passion is in teaching young children and it comes through each day in the work that she does with her students.  She teaches the Preschool I Class here at Whitehouse Prep. Stephanie's ability to connect with young children and her teaching experience help her to create such a loving and enriching Preschool I learning environment.  


Ting Yang - Violin Teacher

Ting comes to us at Whitehouse Prep full of enthusiasm, love of teaching violin, and wonderful credentials! Ting obtained her Master of Music degree in Violin Performance and studied with a member of the Euclid String Quartet. Prior to moving to America from China, Ting completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in Violin Performance in Henan University and worked as a Lecturer in Nanyang Institute of Technology for a couple of years. After graduating in 2012 from Indiana University, Ting relocated to central NJ to join her family and to also perform and teach private violin lessons. Besides performing in many symphony orchestras in her musical career, Ting has also been teaching individual and group violin lessons.Ting loves working with young children.


Laura Sullivan - KI Teacher

Laura Sullivan graduated summa cum laude from Bloomsburg University with a dual major in Elementary and Early Childhood Education. Laura was a Phi Kappa Phi member for her outstanding academic achievement. She also was a Scholar Athlete Award Recipient and was recognized for her academic success with a Phi Kappa Phi High Scholastic Achievement Award.  Laura has been trained by Judith Serra in Math Their Way, Writing Workshop and the Whitehouse Prep curriculum. She has also been trained in Teaching Strategies Gold and Tools of the Mind.  She is also a member of the Monarch Teacher's Network.  Laura has had experience teaching preschool through elementary school.  Laura has co-taught with Judith Serra and has been trained by Judith Serra in Math Their Way, Writing Workshop and Whitehouse Preparatory School’s KI Curriculum. Laura has taught here at Whitehouse Prep for the past 3 years and she is extremely passionate about teaching and loves to work with young children.

Stephen Agnew ("Mr. Steve") is the Director of Education for Music Notes Academy.

Stephen holds a Bachelor's in Music from Hamilton College and a Master's in Teaching from Montclair State University. He has been teaching piano and guitar to students of all ages at Music Notes Academy since 2011 and he has been teaching general music classes at Whitehouse Preparatory School since 2012.

After completing his student teaching in a fourth grade class, Stephen discovered his passion for early childhood education, working as a Head Teacher for preschool children ages 3 and 4. He quickly realized the huge impact that music has on all aspects of children's development. In 2007, he decided to focus exclusively on music education, and has been teaching early childhood music classes in various preschools and kindergartens ever since.

Stephen's teaching and his Little Notes curriculum is influenced by the work of Zoltan Kodaly, Carl Orff, and Emile Jaques-Dalcroze, as well as more recent applications of their approaches to early childhood music education. He is an active member of The National Association for Music Education (NAfME), The Feierabend Association for Music Education (FAME), The Gordon Institute for Music Learning (GIML) and The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).

Stephen Agnew - Music Teacher

Heather Johnson- P.E. Teacher

Heather Johnson has had over 10 years of experience in teaching physical education to young children. She is a nationally safety certified teacher by the USA Gymnastics Association.  Heather has a passion for teaching sports skills and gymnastcis and the children absolutely love her.  Her dedication and passion for teaching young children come through everyday in her work with the children here at Whitehouse Prep.  Heather also teaches gymnastics in our afterschool program through her program Fun-N-Fit .  Her passion for physical education and her repetoire of fun activites makes P.E. one of the children's favorite specials here at Whitehouse Prep.  

Ching-Lien Chang- Chinese Teacher

Ching-Lien Chang is our Chinese teacher.  Ching-Lien is currently a graduate student in Multilingual Education at Rutgers University.  She and her husband live in Princeton along with her 10 year old twin boys and her 3 year old daughter.  Ching-Lien holds a Bachelor's Degree from National Taiwan University and is currently working on her Master's Degree at Rutgers.  She is a teacher at the Princeton Chinese  Language School where she has taught from Level 1 instruction all the way to Level 3 instruction in Chinese.  She has a firm knowlege of the scope and sequence of Chinese language instruction.  She is also a mom and she has had first hand experience in teaching her own children Chinese as well.  She brings a special touch to our Chinese Language Program here at Whitehouse Prep.
